What To Do… What To Do… What To Do?

So, here I stand at the crossroads… again LOL.

Been contemplating military service for awhile now… more specifically the Air Force, as a career change/opportunity.  I don’t have much to write about at the moment on this, but I am getting information on enlisting currently and am seriously considering it.

This would, of course, be a MAJOR change in lifestyle for me, but a pretty much necessary step as I am pretty much in a dead-end job at the moment and need to pursue other career opportunities.

I’ll keep you posted ;)

  • Wow that is a major change! I have to say if it’s the path you want to take it is a very honorable one. Please do keep us posted. Personally I think it’s the way to go. Serving our military is something to be really proud of. If I was young and in better shape, I know it is something I would consider. Not bragging or anything, but I was in the Army from 1980-1986 and it is something that I never regret.

  • I was drafted kicking and screaming into the Army in 1966. It was the best thing that could have happened to me. For you, with a family, make sure that your wife is 100% with you because it will be a big impact on her and your daughter whether you deploy overseas or not. It’s an honorable career move. What would you be doing? Might not be a bad idea to post about your thought process and get some vetting on the options, plusses and minuses. Decisions made with the most information tend to work out best and have the fewest surprises.

  • Praying for you as you wrestle with this important decision.

  • Wow, that sure is a surprise.

But guessed you must have already done weighing your pros and cons to decide on that.

All the best, but stay contactable, k?

  • :) ty all for your support!!

  • Rich,

I spent 3 years with the Air Force following graduation from Houghton. If you ever want to chat, send me an email.

  • @ Tony – Thanks man, I’ll keep ya in mind if I have any questions! :)
