Scaling Back Just a WEE Bit…

wee bitJust a quick note to announce beginning next week I am going to be scaling back a bit on my blog postings.  Here is what I’m thinking:

  • Monday, Wednesday and Fridays - my regular blog postings.
    .
  • Tuesday, Thursdays – little surprise postings  (aka. when I feel like it XD  )

I have thought long and hard about this, and here is my reasoning:

  1. I am NOT burned out on my blog, I DO very much enjoy writing on it, but to avoid burning out in the near future, I must scale back now.
  2. I have a ton of things going on in my life, and to fully appreciate the time I have with my family, friends and my other personal interests, I think scaling back this aspect of my time is smart, (everything in moderation).
  3. I DON’T want to become that blog that *forces* posts… I have already started feeling this… you know, putting up a blog posting because I *have* to… I want to blog when I have something to say, not just to fill (cyber)white space.
Stress... to be avoided!

Stress... to be avoided!

I appreciate each and every one of my regular readers, and hope to continue bringing you QUALITY posts :)   Have a great weekend and see you Monday for “Fitness Monday – Back” :)

  • I really understand were you are coming from. First family is and should be the most important thing in ones life and spending quality time with them is something that should be done. I sure will miss having you around all the time but at least we have you here still. I quit a couple of times in the past and then realized that blogging is something that I needed. Then again I am a single man without the obligation of family and other activities. I know you’ll continue to do well and keep up the biking as well.

  • Figure out the balance in your life and it will all work out. Perhaps you will tune the blog to match your life now. It’s all good.

  • I think you are making a wise decision. When you know you have to pull back some to avoid burnout, it is very wise to keep a regular schedule so you don’t lose the motivation to keep it up altogether. Make it a great day!

  • Yup, quality exceeds quantity.

Don’t let duty kill your creative juices.
